Yea. I can see it being great and all, but €700+ is not going to be worth it for the average consumer at all. You're most likely only going to see ppl that are being sponsored use it

Just the time to be at home and try to order, the sending day already advanced from March to May... 2 extra months of waiting just because of me being at work.
Since I would still have to wait for my next salary, I consider that I will not pre-order anymore. I might end up waiting more time than having it being sold on a local store. And paying more also, because of the international customs and delivery. At least I assume it is not just online sales from the US. That would be kind of ridiculous.
They do need to sell it in stores... I would hope.

edit ---
Also I see many raging at the price, which i can understand. I also worry that with this price that drive ppl away from the VR boom that could have happened now.
Too high price, that broke most ppl savings expectations = less user base
less user base = less developers investing games on it
meaning you end with a very expensive tech, that has very little use.

I really hope they will soon revise the prices and delivery dates.
I was all excited to buy it and spend up money also on a new pc.. But like this... hmmm. Not so sure.
Made the decision that I am going to still upgrade my pc during Q1, but hold back on extreme performance and hold back from buying the oculus until i am sure how it plays out.

its meh anyway

until there is at least one other product to directly compete with it then there is no incentive for it to develop much or drop in price.

I really dont get why you should spend 1500 euro 700 for the kit and another 700 got a VR ready gpu witch is not even developed yet ,it comes mid 2016 along with the actual VR kit even if you pre order plus 1500 euros for what not even a single interesting game and the experience is so underdevolped you could have billion times more fun with normal day games.

i will take a serious look on it when serious game developers do so.

Edit:

So just now we learned that Sony has plans for more than 100+ titles, nad yes maybe the VR is the next big thing cause its also gonna bring movies into the game but its far from worth it i think.

It could be, that if the price is much lower that for the first time i would even consider a PS4.
I really am a person that likes to experience games in different ways. :) That is why I enjoyed the original Wii. :D

I'm more interested in PSVR. Should be cheaper, with larger games library.

Psvr is a joke though you need gtx 980ti in sli in odrer to be truly VR and 4k ready as far as graphics from cCES 2016 showed us. maybe some intresting titles will come to sony but
regardless it doesnt have the juice to back it up.

It wont offer the graphics of high end PCs, but tbh I'm fine with 1080p per eye and 120 Hz refresh rate. PSVR comes with additional hardware to compensate for PS4 performance anyway. Although for me the gameplay is always more important than the graphics. Would love to see a VR set made by Nintendo.
