since Yuniki noticed the lack of an important section of the forum, that i will warn whitehorse about to create a child forum specificaly for it, here will be the place where new members can post theyr wishes to apply on RoyalStorm.

I know that in pretty much all the guilds i ever played in there was some sort of application form.

There are some nice tools out there made for legion/guild forums that kinda let you fill out a form and then the form will be send to the moderator or person who handles the applications. Some even with auto replay send by mail to the one who filled out the application form with your own text in the email ofc.
Maybe you would like to use a tool like that on this forum to, but either way i think its a good idea to create something for new members to apply to if the like to join.

So i dont have a personal reason not to have you with us as a friend of the legion, not that i know you so well but that can change.
I got a feeling none would mind having you around as a legion friend.

I will work on a application form, okay okay. I got it already.

I was more expecting people to say they are interested in royalstorm, and then one of the staff would contact the player and directly talk to him/her.
But okay, I shall have the application form done by tomorrow.

Hey White.

You brought up a good point.
I must agree that personal contact with the new player is the way to go.
How ever the application form is only a step on the way, not an full application on its own.

There will always be the need for the staff to pick up personal contact but its a great help for people who like to join to have a application out the can refer to.

This works as a buffer, anyone can point the new player out to the forum to apply.
This will get you 1: An already registered forum member so you dont have to flame them until the use the forum.
2: the new member already has the BASIC information about royalstrom so you dont have to give them the full story all the time.
3: you have basic information about the new member before talking to that person and that gives you time to formulate your questions and or think
about if you/we would like that person as a member.
4: you will also give room to the legion to express there toughs about that person by replying to the application on the forum before you take the person in. (This comes in handy if one of our members has a valid problem with that person) and that way you wont hurt anyone.

But all this is just frond work, just a little help for every one before you talk to the person or before the person contacts royalstorm.

So i can see the advantages without doing dmg to the reliability or integrity of the structure of the original system of Royalstorm.

BTW: Vittu made a good point by reminding people in his example form this this is our first impression of people applying.
The reason why i think this is a good thing is because when you/we are in doubt of the integrity of the person applying you/we can always invite the person for a trail and find out what he/she is about before we let them in and might get dmg done by that person because of wrong intentions.
People unfortunately do lie.

I created a member application form and a board for it, people will be able to reply there even without registering to the forum. People that are already legion members will not be able to see that section, as by logic, if they are already members they don't need to apply for membership. This way less one thing on screen to make scroll. Non royalstorm members will have the board visible for their capacity to submit an application. RoyalStorm staff will also be able to see the board, in order to process the submitions.
