Sounds like the result of a tight system that didn't think of all realistic situations. I'd mail support about it, I'm sure they're willing to help if it means more income

white allready talked before i think, i had to help him once on getting a time card here and tell him the code cause he wasnt able to buy it and couldnt use card also, he contacted suport by then and i think help wasnt much, right white?

Correct uther. I did complain 1st time 1 year ago.. And I contacted them again in a more agressive tone this last september when 2.0 and pets came, saying that sittuation was anti-EU notion and that i doubted if it was legal. Their answer was that it was legal, and its not managed by them but the sub contracted company/service that takes care of processing the online shopping validations.

Would like to ask for NCSoft to fix this issue. It is not the first time i report it. And now with the pets, it's becoming more annoying.
The fraud is that I (has a portuguese) have a portuguese credit card and am trying to use it while in Germany?
As far as i know, i am an european union citizen, with a european union bank credit card, trying to use it while still inside the European Union, to pay an european product.Is it even legal that I always get this message and my payment refused?
You force me (if i want to pay for your products on your online shop):
- to travel to Portugal, so that i can use my Portuguese credit card. Because of having an IP of Germany?
- supply my game account data to persons in Portugal to login to my account and buy with my credit card with a portuguese ip.
You see the unconfort and danger of me doing any of the above?

I am an adult and I feel duly irritated by this, unsatisfying situation.I wish some positive feedback and resolution of the problem caused by the NCSoft fraud detection code problem.
I am not atempting fraud and take offense about that message every single time i receive it, so clearly there is a problem with your "fraud detection". Please fix it, and let me finally pay your products in peace and comfort.
I got no resolution of the first time i mentioned this sittuation i report it again now and wish that this 2nd time you resolve it.
If i get no resolve about this matter, i will send a copy of this situation to the european union consumer defense.

Hello,

First, our billing system will not accept credit card transactions using a credit card that is foreign to the country in which you are currently located. To resolve this issue, you will need to use a credit card issued in the country of your current location.

Also, in reviewing the purchase attempts, we have found that you have triggered our Risk Management security feature. As we are unable to override Risk Management, the only suggestion we may offer at this time is for you to attempt your purchase at a later date. We are not able to offer a timeframe in which you might be able to make your purchase.

I confess to be rather disappointed with your answer.As I find this an unacceptable situation, I will move on to expose this situation to the European Union consumer defense to indeed discover if NCSoft can refuse my credit card just because current location is a different EU country from the EU country where my card was issued.

Considering the measure is a fraud prevention measure, we can definitely refuse a card if it is being used somewhere other than the country where it was issued. This is actually a function of our payment processor as a fraud prevention method through them.

Unfortunally i lost the email of the EU consumer defense. And was unable to refind it at their website. Then after that, as i got the 1 year pet reward, and being so busy lately with lack of time and head for such things, i did not furter attempt to find the email of the EU Consumer defense. But I am still curious what they would say about this.
