Info about the patch is about is here
http://powerwiki.uk.aiononline.com/aion/October+4th+Korean+Test+Server+Update

On the Korean version they tested the patch on the 4th of October 2010. And by doing some research i discovered that on the 6th October, it went Live.

This makes me assume that 2.1 might happen this month or december before xmas.

So keep your eyes open for news, and if you find them, post it here. :)

2.1 Part 2

http://powerwiki.uk.aiononline.com/aion/Patch+Notes+2.1.0.5

Mostly it does the following:
- Greatly increases crafting life (in all aspects that you can imagine).
- Adjustment to lots of names in mobs and gear.
- Greatly increases coin rewards availability. (more quests, quests are easier, more coins as rewards, and coin gear have cheaper prices)
- Greatly improves easy access to complete some quests. Either by removing key pre-quests, placing more easy to access drops, less required drops to complete quests, and shared quest drops.
- Topography and NPC's adjusted to correct exploits.

Oh man... been buying up attack 3 stones in hopes of making them attack 5, but apparently those recipes don't exist.  >:(

Looks like alot of EXP boosts everywhere, seems they want the new folks from Christmas to level quickly... junk patch for me.

Looking at the PTS 2.5 notes, I see ALOT of legion customization, legion clothing etc, you're going to have a good time White...  ;D

Hey, the faster leveling it's also good for alts hmm? And what about the crafting improvements? That is something that everyone can enjoy.
More ppl reaching the higher levels seems good to establish a bigger community of high levels on both sides. More population, more activity.

Yes the legion customization updates made me jump of joy in my chair, like a little chimpaze. :P lol

I know what fast lvling did to me. I completely outgrew my gear and was an easy target for asmos. Fast lvling might LOOK great, but it's gonna stab you in the back in the end if you're still using the same gear as 20 lvs earlier....

Slower leveling doesn't solve that, since 20 lvls earlier you still get ganked by the very same high levels since there's no restrictions on that.
I do like the faster leveling and most of all the craft changes.

Just a little worried about the limit on selling stuff to npc vendors they gonna implement. I understand it's meant to stabilize the economy by restricting the amount of kinah coming into the economy, but does anyone have a clue yet how high this daily restriction will be? Fact is that lots of stuff that drops is simply junk that noone needs or even wants, and you have little choice but to npc it. Many whites and greens don't even sell because everybody has (or can easily get) better nowadays.

That's one thing I liked a lot about EVE Online economy, and I'm surprised no other game has learned from that. No npc vendors at all. Every item that drops was useful for some people out there. Also the auction houses were region bound, so if you were willing to travel far you could check the market somewhere else to find different prices.

But at least then you won't lose AP since those guys are higher leveled. At 55, you'll always lose AP no matter what
